As summer comes to a close and autumn begins, this is definitly the last of the comic interlude episodes before the villains’ plans are put into motion. Summer homework is to be done, intelligence is to be gathered, and delicious foods are to be eaten. If you’re wondering, there’s 51 episodes in total, not 48.
Notes below the cut because it spoils a joke.
Hiyashi Chuuka is the name for a cold noodle dish, but literally means “Chilled Chinese dish”, so to preserve a joke we had to translate it, as a character interprets it as a general term, not a proper noun.
Gyoza is the Japanese variant of Chinese potstickers
Yakisoba is a sort of stirfried noodles which often has powdered aonori or powdered seaweed as a topping.
Yukatas are a sort of light kimono often worn to summer festivals.
Tamaya is a reference to an old guild of fireworks makers, and is shouted at fireworks festivals to show appreciation.
